
Cake Made With Lemon and Pecan
The main ingredient for this cake recipe is lemon and pecan. The lemon and pecan in the cake batter gives it a wonderful flavour and makes it spongy to eat. This is one of the easiest cake recipes made with lemon and pecan is quick and simple to make. This cake can be served along with tea and coffee, which adds to its great taste.
Ingredients:
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups confectioners’ sugar
- 1 ½ cup flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- ½ cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup sifted confectioners’ sugar
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
Cooking Process:
It is recommended to first get the cake pan ready and to also warm up the oven. To get ready the cake pan, grease a 9 inch tube pan. Put the oven on 325 degrees F to heat it. Now, take a large bowl and add the butter and confectioners’ sugar. Beat it till the mixture becomes fluffy. To this, add an egg one by one, all the while whisking it. Mix flour and vanilla extract and fold it in. Also, add the pecans and lemon peel. Stir the mixture once more, so that all the ingredients merge suitably.
Now, turn the cake mixture into the cake pan and bake for 40 to 45 minutes or till the time the cake is ready. To test whether it is ready, insert a skewer into the center of the cake. If no mixture is stuck to it and the skewer comes out clean then the cake is ready. Allow the cake to cool after taking it out of the oven. Invert the cake onto a plate you want to serve it in. Also, frost the cake with a glaze made out of confectioners’ sugar and fresh lemon juice. If you like, you can also decorate the cake with nuts.
